Castle Rock is an upcoming American psychological horror web television series created for Hulu. It is based on the stories of Stephen King, intertwining characters and themes from the fictional town of Castle Rock.

Production
Development
A teaser trailer was released on the internet on February 17, 2017, and Hulu confirmed four days later that it had committed to a 10-episode first season of Castle Rock.
The teaser trailer mentions titles of and characters from a number of Stephen King novels, including: It, Dolores Claiborne, Needful Things, Salem's Lot, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, Dreamcatcher, Night Shift, The Green Mile, Misery, Hearts in Atlantis, The Shining, The Mangler, Four Past Midnight, Different Seasons, Nightmares & Dreamscapes, The Dark Half, and The Night Flier.
J. J. Abrams will serve as executive producer of Castle Rock, along with Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason who also serve as writers. Production for the series began in August 2017, though a release date has not been confirmed.
Filming
Production started in Orange, Massachusetts in July 2017 and has included filming at Worcester's Providence Street School and Downtown, as well as a victorian house in Lancaster.
